Well tonight is the night. Last year we had the team from Selling Houses Australia visit us and do a makeover on a property which we had on the market on and off for a couple of years. So we had a week of filming, and I tell you I have new found respect for TV personalities as it is not as easy as it looks. Filming the same scene over and over again and still trying to look and sound spontaneous is hard yakka!
Anyway the house which was featured was very tired and had been rented for years with not much upkeep. It required a good old spruce up.
The home came up a treat and they didn’t even make hardly any structural changes, they just freshened it up with new paint, floor coverings, light fittings and styled it with amazing furniture and pot plants.
The difference was quite unbelievable and everyone was impressed. The best part about it all was that the R & R Property team received an offer straight away and we sold.
In fact Selling Houses Australia are promoting it as the fastest sale in the history of their show – which is pretty awesome.
Tonight the R & R Team are going to The Central Hotel in Stroud to have tea and then watch the episode. I’m pretty nervous about it all, but hey what can I do, everything is done and dusted now.
What an amazing experience it has been! It will certainly showcase Stroud to the Nation.
