I am passionate about real estate, particularly real estate within the gorgeous Hunter region and have, over many years delighted in the growth and sustainability of wonderful local towns and communities. I believe that with fifteen years in the real estate industry and with my knowledge of the area, these factors greatly assist vendors and buyers alike and it’s a very clear point of difference. I am also an independent Agent who, nearly ten years ago, purchased a struggling agency within the Stroud and Booral district. Over the past decade I’ve witnessed a change in property trends as large farms and parcels of agricultural land have given way to residential estates. The tradition of a ‘home for life’ has also been transformed as people move more frequently for employment and lifestyle opportunities. This means new people, often those leaving the hustle and bustle of the city for a quieter life enter and enrich our communities. It also means a growth in the real estate industry. As a result, I’ve been able to transform R and R Property from a tiny one-town agency into a regional market leader.
The brand identity, growth and success that has come from years of hard work led to such increased demand from surrounding areas, particularly the mid-north coast, that I then decided to open a second office, in Bulahdelah. Initially a start-up office, I then purchased an existing real estate agency, so that its previous owner could retire. That agency was absorbed into the new office and the Bulahdelah office was soon achieving exceptional sales and rental results and continues to thrive in a dynamic market.
I am in the unique position of having an all-female team at each of our offices. I didn’t really set out with this intention, rather it was something that occurred quite organically, but I am committed to encouraging the increase of talented women in the property industry and I am fortunate to have a great team of sales and property management personnel at each of my offices. However, as the Licensee of Stroud and the Managing Director of both, the buck stops with me. I take this responsibility very seriously and therefore remain a hands-on Agent, overseeing all aspects of the business from our sales and marketing strategies to daily operations.
My passion and commitment to real estate is matched by my passion and commitment to supporting my local communities whether it be by financial donations to local schools, sporting or special interest groups, volunteering at community events, or our annual Giving Tree. As a local business leader, I relish the opportunity to be an active community member both through the Agency and as a private citizen. I just love matching people with properties and as I guide R and R Property through the ever-changing real estate landscape, I’m excited about the future for my business – and our beautiful region.
