Medowie is located on the Mid North Coast/Hunter region about 34 km north of Newcastle.
Medowie has the best of both worlds, a rural style location close to the coast in the Port Stephens area – making it perfect for a tree/sea change! The Pacific Dunes Golf Resort is ranked number 26 by Golf Australia, featuring world class Bentgrass green and Santa Ana Couch Fairways in two distinct nine hole hoops creating a stunning 18 hole championship course.
The housing tends to be modern, with suburban style houses, through to small acreage, which attracts horse owners. Nearby towns are Raymond Terrace, which has major retailers and facilities. In the opposite direction are Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay, Corlette and Soldier Points – all picturesque places to visit.
The Medowie Community Markets are held every second Saturday from 8am to 12.30pm. Run by the Medowie Baptist Community Church, sites can be booked by contacting the Church Office on 02 4982 9123.
